Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!

One Way Link Building HomeThis is a featured page

I'd like to start a discussion on one way link building strategies. The conversation is open to anyone who finds this page. If you're a total noob or an experience SEO professional, if you have anything to say on the subject, jump on in.

Here's what made me decide to start, maintain, and promote this particular blog... on Wetpaint:

Earlier today (February 25th 2010), I came across a forum post where someone was asking which sites were good to host content on. I suggested WetPaint, and another "professional link builder" said that using WetPaint is a waste of time because all the links that users have access to placing are "nofollow".

It's true that links on this site are "nofollow". I don't blame wetpaint, as it keeps your typical spammers off the site, and helps to make room for.... GASP! ACTUAL CONTENT!

My Argument is that the search engines have become smart enough to know the difference between ****** SPAM content and good, clean, HELPFUL content, and simply use the "nofollow" tags to help them decide which is which.

I believe that in some cases NoFollow can be JUST AS GOOD as DoFollow.

And, I'm going to try and prove it.

I own MyLinkClub.com. Where we WPMU, Pligg, and Blogger to creae and maintain relevant and content rich sites to house links for our customers. Our whole one way link building strategy revolves around content.

My goal is to ONLY use WetPaint to house the anchor text "one way link building" for MyLinkclub.com so that I can see whether or not, by providing 100% original content, noFollow links can be used to gain positive scoring in search rankings.

Once Again, no matter what your position is, whether you're a noob with questions, or a pro who thinks I'm full of ****.... you're absolutely invited to join the discussion, and I look forward to hearing from everyone.

Thanks!

Ryan Seabolt

I am looking forward to seeing if this works. I have my doubts, but I do like using no follow it makes you really use revelant content and revelant sites. Ill come back to this in a few days and see how the no follow and dofollow affect it!
